Initally, Moe can be somewhat fearful, but after a good introduction period (he's very food/treat motivated!) he quickly becomes friendly and very affectionate!
Moe walks very nicely on a leash, and evidently has had serious training in the past, although his typical response to usual commands is to shy away, so perhaps he was taught in a different language.
Once established, Moe has become somewhat territorial and can greet strangers with some aggressive display, so a situation where he had to interact with many strangers would not be good for him. He did, however, quickly integrate with many other dogs and shows some evidence of being a problem solver -- interjecting himself between (smaller) females that were barking at each other on several occasions.
Based on his pristine teeth, he may be younger than the shelter estimate of 3 years (DOB 6/17/2011), or he was very well cared for, with regular brushings/cleanings.
